I always loved baking as it made me happy.When I tell this to people they do find it funny however for me it's the fragrance of spices and dough which is required to lift up my mood.
Baking teaches you to be more cognizant of what you put into your body on a daily basis. Once you start baking regularly, you come to learn the actions of certain ingredients or why one recipe worked while another failed miserably.
But over the years I have learnt it with practice.And trust me the more you burn more you learn....So here is one of my favorite and simple recipies.Which you all will love.
GARLIC BREAD
for garlic bread dough:
1/2 cup warm milk
1/2 cup warm water
1 tsp instant yeast / 5gm
1 tsp sugar
pinch of salt
3 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
¾ tsp oregano
1 tsp unsalted butter (at room temperature)
1 cup plain flour / maida / all purpose flour
2 tsp oil
2 tsp melted butter
for garlic butter:
¼ cup butter (melted)
3 cloves garlic (finely chopped)or garlic powder
2 tbsp coriander leaves (finely chopped)
other ingredients:
3 tbsp plain flour / maida / maize or all purpose flour (to dust)
¼ cup mozzarella cheese and cheddar or any cheese of choice
2 tsp chili flakes
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp mixed herbs
for filling:
Cubed cottage cheese 100 gm
Olives 5 to 6
Corn half a cup
Marinated in 3 tbsp of mayonnaise
Seasoned with salt pepper and mixed herbs
garlic dough recipe:
firstly, in a large mixing bowl take warm milk, dry yeast and sugar. mix well.
rest for 5 minutes.
furthermore, add pinch of salt, garlic and oregano.
additionally add butter and maida. start to knead the dough.
further, coat the dough with oil and rest for 45- 50 min..
garlic bread recipe:
further, punch the dough.
in a small bowl mix in butter, garlic and coriander leaves.
spread the prepared garlic butter over the dough generously.
further top with mozzarella cheese on half of the dough.
also season with chili flakes and oregano.
fold the dough and seal the edges.
furthermore, brush generous amount of prepared garlic butter.
also top with chili flakes and mixed herbs.
make marks over bread without cutting them fully.
bake in preheated oven at 180 degree celsius for 15 last 10 min on high 200 to 220 .
cut the garlic bread into pieces and serve.
